In January 2018 we were delighted to be selected by the Department for Education (DfE) as a Trust that demonstrated promise. The Trust Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) attended a launch event in London to meet with 24 other promising Trusts and 25 experienced and established Trusts. We were paired with WISE Academies, based in Sunderland and started what proved to be an enlightening and exciting 12 month experience.
WISE Academies is a growing Trust, already consisting of 13 academies. They could already demonstrate a journey of success and we were keen to learn and develop a strategy with them but we all quickly realised that the programme was mutually beneficial.
Over 12 months, Senior Leaders and Trustees met at both Trust locations, attended various meetings and absorbed as much information as possible. As a result of the programme, we were able to look outside of our own environment and develop a business strategy for our Trust.
As a direct result of participating in the programme, NPET became SHINE Academies. SHINE was chosen by our stakeholders because it stands for everything we believe in. Our pupils and everyone associated with the Trust STRIVE in HARMONY to INSPIRE, NUTURE and EXCEL.
